Resources for discussion
Wednesday evening sessions are informal and there is no need to read or prepare in any way - just come along! However if you would like to read as well, the following might be helpful:
The structure and topics for sessions in 2022-23 will be based on Wapola Rahula's "What the Buddha Taught", which can be found online here.
We may also draw on:
"Introduction to Buddhism" by H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama
"Being Nobody, Going Nowhere" by Ayya Khema
"The Miracle of Being Awake: a Manual on Meditation for the Use of Young Activists" by Thich Nhat Hanh (also published as "The Miracle of Mindfulness")
Previous years' discussions have been based on a lecture series called "The Buddha's teaching as it is" by Bhikkhu Bodhi, and notes on these are archived here.
